We are looking to recruit a team member who will work within our vibrant HUB Supported Art Studios for learning disabled and autistic adults. As a Studio Support Worker Apprentice, you’ll be helping the artists who attend our studios to engage in meaningful creative and cultural activities.
Awareness of the importance of person-centred care and support. Understanding of the social model of disability and how it applies to the work environment. Ability to provide personal care, including intimate personal care. Ability to form and maintain effective working relationships with studio members, their family, colleagues, senior managers and multidisciplinary professionals. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally; verbally and in writing, both in person and over the telephone, to obtain and share information. Able to demonstrate an understanding of the company values and the importance they represent to our organisation. Able to meet the travel requirements of the post. Able to work the shift pattern detailed. Compliance with health and safety rules, regulations and legislation.
Apprentices will be offered a guaranteed interview for a support worker role on completion of the apprenticeship, with a starting salary of £13.89 per hour & minimum of 20hrs per week on offer. As a small organisation there is scope for an ambitious individual to develop their role and progress into a more senior position.
This role includes a degree of compressed hours with 3x 9hour shifts each week. The working day also starts at 8:15am. Please ensure you are able to commit to this before applying for the role
