BTEC Children's Play, Learning and Development
Within this course, you will study the BTEC in Children’s Play Learning and Development which will not only provide you with a ‘licence to practice’ but will also provide you will the opportunity to progress to university if you should wish to.
Topics you will study include:
- Child development
- Children’s literacy and numeracy development
- Outdoor play
- Observation and assessment
You will put this learning into practice, a third of your programme will involve completing compulsory placements with children aged between 0 – 7.
This course can lead to progression to higher education to study primary teaching, paediatric nursing, social work, play therapy as well as an early years degree. Popular destinations for our students include Durham, York, Teesside, Northumbria, Sunderland and Liverpool.
