What’s it all about?

Engineering covers a broad range of disciplines and involves the application of scientific principles and practical knowledge to transform ideas and materials into products and systems safely. From understanding how and why things work, to fixing things that are broken, improving things that work and coming up with new inventions altogether, engineers help to build a brighter future for us all. This qualification has a focus on a broad range of engineering specialist areas including electrical and electronic, mechanical, manufacturing, and more.

This subject can be taken as either a single or triple option. If taken as a single option, you will have flexibility to study alongside other technical and academic subjects that can complement Engineering career pathways such as Physics, Maths, Biology, Chemistry or Computing as the single option equates to achieving one A-Level.

The full technical programme (Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering) will allow you to focus your studies around Engineering dedicated areas.
