You’ll explore a wide range of topics, from animal anatomy and physiology to behaviour, nutrition, microbiology, and conservation equipping you with both scientific knowledge and practical skills. The curriculum, developed in collaboration with industry professionals, ensures you’re learning current practices and anticipating future trends. By combining academic study with hands-on experience, this course provides a comprehensive pathway to higher education or direct entry into the animal care and management sector.

You will need 5 GCSE's at grade 4-9, including in English, Maths and Science

T Levels offer a route to further your career, whether you’re aiming for skilled employment, an apprenticeship, or higher education. Recognised by UCAS, these qualifications provide a valuable stepping stone to university studies. Each T Level is awarded UCAS points corresponding to its grade, enhancing your university application. To earn UCAS points, you must achieve at least a pass grade. The point allocations are as follows:

• Distinction* = 168 points
• Distinction = 144 points
• Merit = 120 points
• Pass = 96 points, C or above on the core
• Pass = 72 points, D or E on the core

Our T-Level courses combine classroom learning with hands-on industry experience, providing you with the skills and knowledge highly valued by employers. You'll spend 80% of your time on academic studies and 20% on a 45-day work placement, totalling over 315 hours of practical exposure. This balance ensures a comprehensive understanding of your field and enhances your professional skills.

You can arrange your own placement or use our student placement team's expertise. This mandatory component prepares you for real career challenges and opportunities as you transition from student to professional.
