Throughout this logical subject you will study fascinating topics such as particles, quantum phenomena, electricity, mechanics, materials and waves, momentum, circular and simple harmonic motion, gravitational and elecrric fields, magnetic fields, and nuclear and astrophysics.
You will need 5 GCSEs at grade 5-9, a grade 6 in Maths alongside plus Combined Science Grade 6 or Physics and another Science at grade 6.

English and Maths are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your studies and progress to your dream career. If you have not already achieved grade 9-4 in GCSE Maths and/ or English at school, we will support you to improve your skills.

The modules you will study include:
-Forces and motion
- Electrons, waves and photons
- Newtonian world
- Astrophysics
- Particles and medical physics
Regular practical work runs alongside all of these topics.
Past students have progressed onto a variety of degree courses including physics, astrophysics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, nuclear engineering, maths, chemistry, and even law.
Some students enrol onto higher apprenticeships after studying A-Level Physics.
