What’s it all about?

This course has been designed for people who are looking for a career in engineering, an Engineering apprenticeship, or who would like to progress to studying engineering within Higher Education.

The course is equivalent to a single A-Level and will be studied alongside other subjects,.

You will need 4 GCSEs at grade 5-9, including English and Maths.

19+ please enquire As part of the course, it is expected that you will provide your own stationery including: pens, pencils, paper, a scientific calculator and a ring binder. As part of the programme, you will be given the opportunity to take part in educational trips and visits to Higher Education establishments and engineering facilities, which may require some cost.

The course has been designed to offer students a range of theoretical and practical subjects.

Assessment of the course is carried out using a combination of externally set examinations, internal assessments and practical assessments.

English and Math's are important life skills that will help you to achieve your full potential in your studies and progress to your dream career.

If you have not already achieved grade 4-9 in GCSE Math's and/or English at school, we will support you to complete a Level 2 course while you improve your skills.

Monday to Friday between 9:00am-16:00pm. Days and times of study are subject to change dependent upon group allocation. Timetables are confirmed at the start of term and will be discussed during the enrolment period.

There are three mandatory units of study:

- Engineering Principles
- Delivery of Engineering Processes Safely as a Team
- Engineering Product Design and Manufacture

There is also an additional unit, which will be to chosen to meet the needs of the cohort from a variety of optional units.
