Sport has always been a popular way of spending our free time and therefore has become a major part of the leisure industry. As a result, there are a large range of careers in sport and prospects are increasing as more people play and watch sports. The BTEC Level 2 in Sport can help you take your first steps towards a career in sport and fitness. You’ll learn essential skills such as training for personal fitness, encouraging sports participation, and organising and leading events and activities.
This course is designed to give you the skills, knowledge and experience needed to improve physiologically and psychologically. You will gain an in-depth knowledge of the science behind sport and take part in practical sessions.
You will need GCSE single or combined science at grade 3 or above.
|You will need to provide your own stationery and you will be given the opportunity to take part in trips and visits.
English and Maths are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your studies and progress to your dream career. If you have not already achieved grade 9-4 in GCSE Maths and/ or English at school, we will support you to improve your skills.

This qualification will allow you to progress to university.
Those who do not enter higher education could progress into career roles or apprenticeships in it, assistant sports coach, gym instructor, or be involved in the administration of sport and leisure.
