The Women’s Rugby programme was launched in 2018 and has grown from strength to strength.
The Academy has partnered with professional Premiership team DMP Durham Sharks and now is one of only ten DiSE (Diploma in Sporting Excellence Qualification) in the Country. The Women’s Rugby Academy made history in the 2019/20 season by being the first North East College to be nominated to represent the region at the AOC National Championship.
