Talented student athlete Danielle Marshall is celebrating after winning the national title at England Boxing’s Youth Championships.
Danielle defeated her opponents in the 69kg division at Birtley ABC to take the belt where she was also named the tournament’s best boxer.
The Sport and Exercise student is one of boxing’s up and coming stars and is hoping to compete professionally after securing a number of sponsorships.
After winning the title, Danielle said: “I’m really happy with how I performed at the national championships.
“The TASS programme at Hartlepool Sixth Form has really helped me achieve all that I’ve accomplished in terms of the support I have received whilst balancing sport with my academic studies.”
Ian Hewitt, Lecturer in Sport, added: “This is an amazing achievement by Danielle and everyone at Hartlepool Sixth Form is very proud of her.”
