Hartlepool Sixth Form performance students organised a charity concert in Stockton to raise vital funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Taking place at the stunning Georgian Theatre, March’s sold-out gig featured local bands including Ocean Floor, Giraffes, Lilly Road, Fori Tega and Marines among others.
The students, Phoebe Kirkham, Grace Gardner, Nicholas White, Alfie Bingham and Sam Phillips, regularly communicated with the venue, booked the bands, managed finance, arranged transport and marketed the event, as well as entertaining the crowd with their thrilling performances on the night which raised almost £500.
Music lecturer, Andrew Mahon, said: “I am incredibly proud of the effort, ambition and talent shown by my students – they have very bright futures ahead of them.
“The group were awarded distinctions for their efforts both as organisers and performers, where they had the crowd singing and dancing to every beat.”
