Overview

Anthony started working at Hartlepool Sixth Form in 2012. He can talk all day about Maths, inspiring students with his enthusiasm and vast collection of memes!

I have a BSc (Hons) Mathematics & Statistics BSc and a PGCE Mathematics from Newcastle University.

I have previously worked for three years as an accountant, five years as an audio engineer and five years in telecoms sales before training to teach.

I teach Mathematics and Further Mathematics to both Year 12 and Year 13 students.

I enjoy the autonomy and the idea of talking about mathematics all day and getting paid for it was just too alluring!

Watching students’ minds get blown when I prove that if you add up all the numbers you get -1/12 ….and similar unexpected results.

I am inspired by the staff and students. Curious minds are the best minds.

Without education life would be dull.

Everybody loves maths more after doing it at A-Level!

Working for the Job Centre as an Admin Assistant.

My enthusiasm and encyclopaedic collection of maths memes.

Dr Dobson (Physics) who always put a bit of effort in and my university Mathematics lecturer Robin Johnson who had so much energy.

Nobody got worse at maths by doing more maths. So, do a lot of maths.

Enthusiastic, creative, approachable.

Put a month’s wages on Leicester City winning the Premier League in 2016!

Is the Riemann Hypothesis true? Or, why is Mrs Brown’s Boys so popular?

Reading, playing the guitar and piano, painting and spending time with my family.
