Overview

Meet Victoria, your Work Experience and Placement Lead!

2:1 Undergraduate degree in Psychology and Media Studies

I have 14 years of experience working in Recruitment Consultancy and Management, and 7 years at Sunderland College and Education Partnership North East supporting Work Experience delivery and Business Development.

I lead and support the work experience and placement delivery across Education Partnership North East.

Working in education has given me the opportunity to support students with their progression, career aspirations and next steps towards the world of work.

When a student gets positive feedback from their host employer after a successful work experience placement – it is even better when they are offered further experience, paid work or an apprenticeship as a result!

Being part of the Beacon Award nominations is one of my best moments!

Working with others who are passionate, authentic, dedicated and committed in everything they do.

Good education forms an important part of the foundation for an individual’s career future prospects, life plan and career prospects.

It bridges the world of learning with the world of work. It opens doors and creates opportunities for our students, and builds meaningful, lasting employer partnerships for the College.

Working in a café in Newcastle City Centre whilst I was studying at University.

The opportunity to showcase to employers the skills and knowledge they are learning and developing whilst at College.

My A-Level Biology Teacher, Miss Duffy. She was firm but fair, and very dedicated.

Never give up – the best way to succeed is to keep trying.

Organised, dedicated, authentic

To start saving for my pension earlier, and find every opportunity to travel and see the world.

I guess the meaning of life and what comes next?

Gardening, reading and travelling.
