Michael described his time at Hartlepool Sixth Form College as memorable and engaging.
He secured a place on an apprenticeship scheme at Johnson Matthey Catalyst Technologies straight after College, which involved part-time study to gain a Chemistry degree from Teesside University.
He said: “I decided to study at Hartlepool Sixth Form College because of the good options for studying STEM. The best thing was the support from the staff, particularly in Chemistry. I wouldn’t be where I am now if it wasn’t for my Chemistry teacher at Hartlepool Sixth Form College. A massive thanks to him!”
Michael progressed to a higher apprenticeship and gained a Chemistry degree.
